Please read the eligibility, formatting, and submission rules carefully before uploading your abstracts and final presentations.

General Eligibility & Registration Rules

Abstract Submission DeadlineAugust 15th, 2026 by 11:59 PM IST
  • Mandatory RegistrationConference registration is mandatory for all presenting authors. Abstract submissions will not be reviewed without a valid conference registration number.
  • One Presenter, One SubmissionAn individual can present only one paper or poster across the entire conference. However, they may be listed as a co-author on other submissions.
  • Original Work OnlyAll abstracts must represent original research or clinical data that has not been published or presented at any national or state conference prior to October 2026.
  • Free Oral Papers SessionPapers not qualified for Prize Paper Presentations will be included to be presented in the Free Oral Papers Session.

1. Oral Prize Papers: Category Guidelines

All Medical Microbiologists with > 10 years of teaching or corporate experience 10 minutes
(8 mins presentation + 2 mins Q&A)

Junior Faculty Oral (Smt. B. S. Laxmi memorial prize for junior faculty)
All Assistant Professors & Consultants in corporate sector < 10 years of experience10 minutes strict
(8 mins presentation + 2 mins defense)
Warning bell at 7 minutes.
Category C:
(Dr. C. S. Bhaskaran Award PG’s (any age) & Junior Faculty (< 35 years))
Bona fide MD Microbiology postgraduates. (HOD certification/letter required during upload). PG’s (any age) & Junior Faculty (< 35 years)8 minutes strict
(6 mins presentation + 2 mins defense)
Warning bell at 5 minutes.
Faculty Oral –
HAI (Sri. N. Venkata Siva Pramatha Memorial – Best Paper Prizes in “Health Care Associated Infections)
Any faculty and consultants.10 minutes
(8 mins presentation + 2 mins Q&A)
Faculty Oral –
TB (GIMSR Prize for Best paper in Mycobateriology for Faculty)
Any faculty and consultants.10 minutes

2. PG Poster Prize Presentations

Designed for case reports, series, or localized laboratory data assessments.

Format & Material

Physical printed poster (Standard Flex/Matte print).

Dimensions

Portrait orientation: Standard size 4 feet (Height) × 3 feet (Width).

* Posters failing to match the portrait orientation may not fit the allocated display boards.

Display & Presentation Rules

  • Presenters must mount their posters at their allocated number by 8:30 AM on their designated day.
  • The presenter must be physically standing by their poster during the designated evaluation hours for live defense before the judges.
  • Content Flow:Title & Authors (at the top), Introduction, Objectives, Case Report/Methodology, Results (with clear figures/graphs), Conclusion, and 2-3 key References.

3. Abstract Submission Structure (For All Categories)

Two-Step Submission Process

STEP 1 — INITIAL SUBMISSION

Submit Abstract as Word Document

Upload your abstract in .doc or .docx format via the submission portal. The scientific review committee will evaluate it for content, originality, and eligibility.

  • • Deadline: 15th August 2026, 11:59 PM IST
  • • File format: .doc / .docx only (max 10 MB)
  • • PPT/PPTX files are not accepted at this stage

On acceptance of the abstract, Final presentation in PPT or pptx format to be brought to conference venue in pendrive

All abstracts must be submitted via the official portal following this exact template structure:

Title Style

Bold, sentence-case, with no abbreviations (Maximum 25 words).

Author Details

Presenting author's name must be underlined. Institutional affiliations must be clearly marked with superscript numbers.

Word Limit

Maximum 300 words (excluding Title, Authors, and Institutional details).

Layout Guidelines

Layout for Research Papers

  • Title & Authors (large bold font, affiliations)
  • Introduction / Background (context, novelty, question)
  • Study Objectives (1–2 points)
  • Hypothesis (1–2 points)
  • Study Design & Methodology (flowcharts preferred)
  • Results (key findings with visuals, no clutter)
  • Conclusion (2–3 take-home messages)
  • Acknowledgements & References (minimal, 2–3)

Layout for Case Reports (Posters only)

  • Introduction
  • Case History
  • Laboratory Investigations
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
Typography Standard: Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 line spacing (for abstract document files).

Standard Font Sizes

Slide Design & Content Rules

•Use clear fonts and 2–3 consistent contrasting colors.
•Use numbering or arrows to guide readers through content.
•Do not overcrowd slides with large text blocks.
•Use short sentences and bullet points instead of paragraphs.
•Highlight key numbers, statistics, and findings (bold or colored).
•Prefer graphs and flow diagrams over large tables.
•All figures/images must be high resolution with legends and captions.

General Guidelines for Paper Presentation

Visual & Layout Constraints

Keep slides minimal, clean, and visual
Use ≤ 6 lines per slide, ≤ 6 words per line
Use font size ≥ 24 pt; highlight keywords with bold/color
Prefer graphs, flowcharts, and images instead of text

Final Presentation Submission Guidelines

How the Submission Process Works

  1. 1Submit your abstract as a .doc / .docx (Word document) via the portal before 15th August 2026, 11:59 PM IST. PPT/PPTX files are not accepted at this stage.
  2. 2The scientific review committee evaluates your abstract. You will receive an acceptance or rejection email after the review cycle.
  3. 3If accepted, you will be notified via email to proceed with uploading your final presentation (.ppt/.pptx) using the official conference template.

  • • Poster / Free Poster Presentation→ Must use the Poster Template (PPT/PPTX)
  • • Oral Prize Paper / Free Oral Paper Presentation→ Must use the Oral Template (PPT/PPTX)

  • • Incorrect templates or layouts will not be accepted.
  • • Initial abstract submission must be in .doc / .docx format. Do NOT upload PPT at initial submission stage.

AV Desk Load Rule (Final PPT)Final PPT presentations must be loaded at the Preview Room/AV Desk at least 3 hours prior to your assigned session. Using personal laptops on the podium is strictly prohibited.
